News Review of Taemas 2005 Pinot Noir By Fergus McGhie, The Canberra Times 7/02/2007. “SOMETHING SPECIAL” category Taemas 2005 Pinot Noir, Murrumbateman Made by Brian Johnston, this is a pinot noir that shows that, with care and attention, the Murrumbateman side of the Canberra region can produce excellent pinots. There is a delicious backbone of dark cherry fruit with some firm tannins and excellent oak integration. It’s a little closed at first, but with time it softens into a great example of district pinot. July 2007 Both the 2004 and 2005 Taemas Pinot Noir(s) received Bronze medals at the 2007 Winewise Small Vigneron Awards September 2007 Taemas 2006 Limited Release Shiraz/Viognier received Bronze medals at both the Canberra and Murrumbateman Cool Climate Wine Shows |
